DeleteJennifer's question answer- Maybe he felt comfortable around /in the baseball field because that's were he feels safe and men't to be so that were he feels he belongs
DeleteJennifer question answer - Peter felt like the baseball field was like his home. In the text it says "the baseball field felt like home to peter." This is why the baseball field is so important to peter.
DeletePeter feels comfortable around the baseball field because that is where he feels he belongs and it is where he feels safe and no one knew and that made it even more safe for him.
Deletepeter feels comfortable in the ball field because he thought he was born on a baseball field."But a baseball field was the only place where he felt he was exactly where he was born to be."

level 2 question
DeleteThe fence was so important because it showed Peter how he needed to play during a baseball practice or game. By seeing it, he acknowledged what he needed to do.
DeleteThe fence was so important to Peter because it showed what Peter could and couldn't do. It helped Peter make important decisions on the baseball field or sometimes anywhere , including dealing through events when he doesn't know what to do.
Deletewhat are some of the problems of chapter 6?
ReplyDeleteThe challenges that he faced were that his mom died and he stopped going to the therapist. In the text it states that peter is never going back to the therapist. For is mom dying it states in the text that peters mom was going to get stuff from the supermarket and she never came back from the supermarket. These are the challenges peter faced
DeleteMy question was.... Why did peter like baseball so much? Explain
ReplyDeletePeter likes baseball so much because he said a baseball field was the only place where he felt he was exactly where he was born to be. At first he said that he is not that kind of kid that you will see on a ball field but now he feels that he was born to be on a baseball field. In the story "Pax" it states " Peter climbed the bleachers to the top row and dropped his pack. A kid watching a baseball practice-nothing could be normal, yet his heart skidded."That's when Peter liked baseball so much.
Deletewhat happened to peter why he thinks the fence was so important to him ? I feel if i know that i will know much more about Pax.

ReplyDeleteMy question is level 3
why do you think peter was mad at the therapist? Which events led up to this to make this happen? Explain why.
ReplyDeletePeter was mad at the therapist. Peter was mad at the therapist because she asked Peter if he is angry about his mother and Peter took offense to that statement. To support this, the text states on page 47, "Peter, do you feel angry?" Then after that Peter grabbed a jolly-rancher from the dish which meant that Peter had enough. In conclusion, this is why Peter was mad at the therapist.
DeleteTo be continued
Cont.
DeleteThe events that lead up to this are,
1. Peter plays with the toy cars and it reminds him of his mother.
2. While Peter is in therapy the therapist asks him if he is angry about his mother passing away.
3. Peter takes a jolly rancher from the candy dish to show that he wants the session to end.
